Testing

To deliver good and fully functional software, testing is an important part of the development project. We distinguish the following testing phases:

• Unit tests: every programmer tests his own code
• Integration tests: the entire application is technically tested
• Functional tests: a pilot group tests all functions and features of the application
• Acceptance tests: the entire system is tested by the users in a production environment.

For the functional tests and the acceptance tests, specific test scenario’s are created that are used by the test groups to check the quality of the software against previously defined acceptance criteria.
